A friend sent me this e-mail:
CONSUMER WARNING: Check your cell phone bills for $9.99 data usage charges that look like cell phone general costs. Learned from Verizon an independent party txting me "updates" I haven't requested started charging my cell number. Verizon WON'T take responsibility. I contacted this company My Mobile Care and they say I answered a pop up ad by inputting my cell number & small print says they can charge me $9.99/month. THIS DID NOT OCCUR. Txt's look random! They make it difficult to get a credit and Verizon suggests taking it up with Consumer Affairs.
