Jersey City man arrested in Hoboken after cops spot him urinating

A 26-year-old Jersey City man was arrested in Hoboken early yesterday after urinating in public and threatening bodily harm to police officers on the scene, reports said.

Around 1:45 a.m., police stopped a man seen urinating outside Court Street Restaurant & Bar, 208 Court St. The man, later identified as William Stout, became belligerent and disorderly, refusing to give his information, reports said.

Stout screamed profanities as he was placed into the radio car and then attempted to kick out the windows once inside, reports said. Police then removed him from the car and warned him three times he would be pepper sprayed if he did not comply. He began to kick the windows a second time, so police sprayed his eyes from one foot away, reports said.

Stout tried to strike police, and one police officer was transported to Hoboken University Medical Center, where he was later diagnosed with a sprained left wrist, reports said.

Hoboken Volunteer Ambulance Corps was dispatched to flush out the spray from Stout's eyes, reports said.

Stout was charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest, reports said.
