LED's don't have nearly the same light output each, so you need a bunch of them to match output, but if matched use lower wattage because of low heat loss.
Once you define the wattage, the total power is in watt-hours or kilowatt hours or some other conversion value.

Cops: Car thief led chase

Monday, November 09, 2009

Jersey City cops said they arrested a car thief after he tried to flee from an intersection where he crashed a stolen Volkswagen Jetta into two other cars yesterday morning, reports said.

Stephen R. Pirrone, 29, of Norward, was charged with theft by unlawful taking, eluding police, aggravated assault on a police officer, police said.

Police were called to Danforth Avenue on the report of a stolen car and met with a 41-year-old Kennedy Boulevard resident who reported the theft of her four-door green Volkswagen Jetta.

A police officer spotted the car heading north on Route 440, before turning east on Claremont Avenue. With the police in pursuit, Pirrone made several turns, going through at least two red lights before losing control on Mallory Avenue at the intersection of Communipaw Avenue, reports said.

The car hit a Toyota Camry and a third unidentified car, police said. Pirrone then tried to drive further north on Mallory Avenue, but police stopped him, pulling alongside the car to block the man's exit from the driver side door.

The man then leapt out of the passenger side door and ran by foot into Lincoln Park where the cop managed to wrestle him to the ground, reports said. But the driver punched the officer before other cops helped to subdue him, reports said.
