Hi,

I plan to sign up my 4 year old son to a Taekwondo class. I heard mix reveiws of the JC Taekwondo. Anyone have kids enrolled there and how do you like it? I don't have car so i won't consider places that cannot be reached by PATH.

I'm also looking into a few other places in Journal Square and Manhattan, anyone have heard anything about these schools?

Greg Duncan teaches martial arts at the Community Education & Recreation Center (CERC) gym in JC. I know him personally and he's a great instructor. The gym is located at 180 9th Street across from the Newport Mall, a short walk from the Newport PATH.

I had my son at JC Taekwondo at one point, and had to take him out - the classes were too crowded with too many different levels in the same class. He spent half the class sitting down watching other levels train, and he was obviously bored.

It was a good location and all that, but the class structures can be improved, IMO.
