Cops: Teen tosses gun, runs away

A 17-year-old Jersey City boy took off running when police approached him on McGinley Square on Monday and threw a handgun into a garbage can before cops caught up with him, reports said.

The Myrtle Avenue boy was at Montgomery Street and Bergen Avenue at 8:45 p.m. when the plainclothes officers in an unmarked car saw him acting suspiciously, reports said.

As the officers got out of the car, the boy reached into his jacket and took off running, discarding a .40 caliber handgun as he ran, reports said.

Arrested at Bergen and Storms avenues, the boy was charged with resisting arrest and unlawful possession of a weapon, reports said.

i hope this is the same little bastard that threw snowballs at my head and called me a stupid bitch in front of 4 of his thug friends while i was unloading my car. needless to say they split up as soon as i came out with the dog and flagged a cop car.
