Accidents happen, but leaving the scene of an accident should never happen. This is a Hit-and-run, not just some jackass who doesn't know how to drive. Hope he gets put away for a while, the max for NJ is 6 months. What a dumbass. He basically ruined his life at 31 when all he had to do is stay put and call 911.

This is the problem with the suburbanites moving into JC. They come in with their minivan, their SUVs and their sense of entitlement. They don't know how to drive in urban environments and someone gets hurt.

Jersey City man charged in hit-and-run that left victim with serious injuries: prosecutor

A Jersey City man who authorities say left a pedestrian lying in the street with serious injuries after hitting him with a minivan has been arrested, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez announced.

Luis Rodriguez-Santana, 31, was charged with knowingly leaving the scene of a motor vehicle crash resulting in serious bodily Injury and leaving the scene of an accident with injuries for the Halloween night incident at the intersection of Christopher Columbus Drive and Grove Street.

Hudson authorities search for hit-and-run minivan that left man in critical condition

The Hudson County Prosecutor?s Office is seeking the public?s help in locating a minivan that authorities say struck a man and left him in the street with serious injuries.

Jersey City police responded to the intersection of Christopher Columbus Drive and Grove Street at 11:05 on Halloween night and found the 36-year-old city man in the street. The victim was taken to the Jersey City Medical Center, where he is in critical but stable condition, Prosecutor Esther Suarez said.
