The one contested race on my ballot was for county freeholder where an anti-corruption candidate was running against the embodiment of Hudson County Democratic Organization machine politics in Tom Degise.
For democratic committee-man in my Hamilton Park area, the only choice was board of ed (ex)member Mat Schapiro, who is known to be moving to California. Democracy in action! Robin.

On my ballot, there was one race in either party and the outcome of that race (Democratic race for county executive) is a foregone conclusion. Not exactly a reason to rush to the polls.

Hudson County voters will go to the polls Tuesday to cast their ballots in several primary elections. There is a relatively light slate for voters across Hudson County, and there is expected to be little drama in the heavily Democratic county. There are a few county and state elected positions, such as county executive and sheriff, that all Hudson County voters will cast a ballot for. More
