Roberta Tarkan on Central Avenue in the heights. She does both sides of the eviction process. I have used her and several friends and colleagues have as well.

You won't be able to get him out until he has not paid at least one month's rent. Then after you file in landlord-tenant court, it will take a month to get a hearing, as which he can either pay rent owed, or hand over his keys and break the lease.

That's basically the only remedy. There is no prospective eviction for rent not due yet.

I've got a tenant whose rent is being paid by a state agency. They've been trying to reach him about his income status, and he is NOT replying to them. The agency told me they will cut off his rent starting Jan 2019. I've reached out to him and have not gotten a reply via phone/text/email.

I'm living out of state and can not visit in person right now.

Can anyone suggest an attorney? I'd like to get the tenant out if I'm not going to get rent. He's been destroying my apartment and has been a nuisance to the rest of the building.

Thanks in advance.
