Prove that. Show us why you use the term "unequivocally". You must have some pretty solid evidence to use such an unequivocal term.

Well that certainly closed the door on that. I asked for definitive proof, and you sure delivered...not.

People who believe Fulop endorsed Symes (or anyone for that matter) should have a walk in the Hamilton Park area with its conjoined Grillo and Fulop signs #GetReal

As for Candice, good for her. I need to watch the debate...

No it's not. Candice speaks for Candice.

This thread was, from the beginning, an attempt to poison the well for Candice's upcoming endorsement. She did not keep it a secret from anyone that she was inclined to support Rebecca. So when it is about to come out, completely fabricate a story that "real estate interests" are demanding Fulop support, or at least have Candice support.

But most people are smart enough to see through it, and recognize that Candice's endorsement is what it seems on its face. The incumbent councilwoman taking her job seriously and supporting a successor with the talent and work ethic needed to do the job well.

Yeah, except that is impossible when you're on the Fulop ticket. Nice try though.

She's not on the Fulop ticket. Fulop declined to endorse anyone in the race.

Personally I think that all the candidates are good and should be able to promote themselves without attacking the integrity of the others. The others keep themselves above the fray, but their campaign staff and supporters do the dirty work for them. At the very least, Jacob fights his own battles in this regard and is willing to say such things personally.

I like the candidates personally, but unless they distance themselves from these attacks and concede that they are wholly unfounded, I will have lost some respect for their campaigns.

Candice is a Fulop endorsement by Proxy.

I think you've got that backwards. You complain about the lack of affordable housing, and yet now developers create properties that are in high demand, in part due to a lack of supply. Thanks to Symes, folks are getting more of what they want a place to purchase in Jersey City.

Tax abatemens reduce the cost to the developers, such as the one Symes has worked for and represented. Economics doesn't lie, but politicians and their sockpuppets do.

Having a developer funded candidate with obvious mayoral aspirations will unlikely improve affordability in DTJC. And, it is not in the developers' economic self-interest to build infrastructure such as schools, daycare facilities ...

That's the irony of the those that oppose development because "it pushes out" old timers: without additional supply, prices will continue to skyrocket. Obviously, Jersey City has reached a tipping point in terms of popularity and desirability: people will continue to flock here, so demand is already high, but supply is obviously not keeping up. We need more development, which will ideally include both rentals and condos, and spread out across the city.

The newbies posting all that trash about Candace, and about Symes in the other thread, are obviously machine politics trolls. It happens during EVERY election cycle. Back in 2013, when Fulop was elected mayor, some of them even came in here and openly threatened reprisals against anyone that didn't toe the line and failed to vote for Healy.

It is a sad, pathetic attempt to claw back into power. I have only met Candace in passing a couple of times, and our interactions have been minimal, but she has always been nothing but pleasant and professional. The same goes for Symes, whom I met recently and she truly was a very pleasant person.

All this innuendo and smearing needs to be called out and stamped out.

I think that water long flowed under the bridge... interesting Osborne endorsement. I signed a Symes ballot petition on Newark Ave during summer. I did not know her, but felt the more candidates the better.

The clipboard person gave me the impression they were scrambling for signatures for the fast approaching filing deadline so I am somewhat surprised she appears to be in the forefront. At least judging by JCLIST threads.

Please source your assertion. Not saying it's not true, but random person on the internet saying something does not count as fact.
