"Weiner Law Group, formerly Weiner Lesniak, alleges in its lawsuit, filed on June 28 in Morris County Superior Court, that Thomas owes it $18,122. Jersey City law firm Ehrlich Gaynor, which filed its case here in Hudson County on May 26, says Thomas hasn't paid it $7,066."

"Appel said Thomas has paid $25,000 to a new attorney to fight the suits."

Total amount owed to the law firms - $ 25,188.

Total amount paid to another law firm to defend himself against the two lawsuits - $ 25,000.

Uh, okay. This guy needs a cheaper attorney, as well as a basic education in personal finance, unless I'm missing something here.

Jersey City school board VP owes $25k in unpaid bills

I have more questions than answers...how is this possible? It looks like he's been paying himself and screwing his attorneys. How does someone raise only $15k but still has $40k in debts for a campaign to hold an unpaid position?

How was this guy ever endorsed or supported?
