I am glad it takes me 15 minutes to walk there, or I would be there much more often.

my problem: every time I walk in for a sandwich, I walk out with a sandwich, soup, 4 rolls, 3 pizza breads and 2 cheesecake cookies (rarely available, the cookies are awesome).

... now thinking I need revisit the 'sandwich on 1/2 loaf of sausage bread'.

Something at 2nd St never discussed much that I've been digging the past couple years: "small" sausage/egg/cheese breakfast sandwich. Spicy Italian sausage (rolls are sweet) with some cheese options (american for me) and couple eggs. eggs are cooked more that i prefer, but not really an issue.

Only breakfast sandwich I eat anymore.

This place is a true gem. I patronize it regularly either for a loaf of bread, for the occasional sandwich, or for party platters. That old lady is SO sweet and always welcoming. I am glad it takes me 15 minutes to walk there, or I would be there much more often.

Hey, does anybody know how early they open, on weekdays? Google says 9am but I feel like they might be open way earlier than that, can any regular customers confirm?
