Maybe it was a green resident only street parking sign.

did anyone put up "no parking" for a move signs? i've seen cars towed on weekends for that, even though the signs weren't put up with enough notice

There are new "no parking" signs that in place extend a good 50' into a block. I can't understand how that excess is necessary, but if you consider that "mid-block" this may be the problem.

Thanks Grove. I read through that thread. Nothing in there relative to this incident.

BustJC, I'll have to go back and check the street. Supposedly there isn't any driveway or red paint and it was mid block, so corner wasn't the issue.

I would take as much photo evidence of the surrounding area as I could including the signs on the block. The ticket should have an address/location on it. Are you sure they werent blocking a drive way or on a red line that was hard to see? Blocking the corner?

Did I miss something? Was there a rule change about parking on weekends? A friend's car was towed on Sunday which was otherwise parked legally. This was not a metered spot.
No explanation on ticket other than "unlawfully parked"

If there was no rule change, what are the chances of fighting this? $54 ticket plus $115 for the pound.
