(Some pretty serious allegations with a whole lotta' he said/she said thrown in. Meanwhile, one of our residents dies and his death may be tied to the fact that the water truck couldn't get to his building in time because the local company was closed.)

A dispute over staffing is pitting Jersey City firefighters against City Hall just as the two sides are attempting to hammer out a new contract. The issue arose twice last week when fires on Wednesday and Saturday broke out near the Kearney Avenue firehouse. On both days one of the two companies stationed on Kearney Avenue was off duty, leading to a delay in dousing the fires. More
