The Hudson County Prosecutor's Office is investigating the near-drowning of a 10-month-old baby inside a Downtown home. At about 6:30 p.m. yesterday, police said in a radio transmission that the baby was found unresponsive at a home on Sixth Street near Coles Street. The baby had been listed as "extremely critical." Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said in a statement that the department's Special Victims Unit is handling the investigation and the baby remains hospitalized in critical condition. "At this point, no one has been charged, but the investigation is continuing," Suarez said. This afternoon at the house, a resident that lives in a different unit said the "family is in pain" at the hospital and they "need to be left alone." Neighbors also declined to speak with The Jersey Journal http://www.nj.com/hudson/index.ssf/20 ... c.html#incart_2box_hudson
