I say we got about 4 more to go before the score is settled.

So it's Crips vs Bloods, or something like that. Considering that Fulop just announced the revitalization plans for Ocean Avenue this is a bad lead up. I feel sorry for the good people that must live there, I'm sure they're scared to death to walk two blocks.

The two people believed to own the Los Yoleros Mini Market Deli -- Gabino Tineo, 44, and Isabel Dominguez, 37 -- as well as their employee, Marcelino Ramos Jr., 32, appeared in Central Judicial Processing court today to face charges of tampering with evidence and conspiracy to tamper with evidence.

Been on that area a few times due to a friend living nearby. That block is... something else. Unfortunately, probably purely stereotypical. Damn shame for the families.

How stupid some are with their response / comments in the linked article when they blame the Mayor and Councilman for these types of crimes ...

No-one can change the mind-set of criminal behaviour. You need social behaviour to change and to blame a councilman or Mayor is stupid. Maybe if we increase taxes to employ a limitless number of cops and social workers to combat the problem, not much can change if families don't take ownership on how their family members turn out .... Last time I read about asking for more taxes, people were against it, thus nothing comes for free and serious change can't be implemented

Fatal shooting at mini-market in Jersey City according to persons at scene

By Caitlin Mota | The Jersey Journal
on November 15, 2015 at 2:10 PM, updated November 15, 2015 at 2:31 PM

JERSEY CITY - A tense and emotional scene is playing out in front of a bodega at 383 Ocean Ave. in Jersey City where, according to persons at the scene and police radio transmissions, a person was fatally shot this afternoon.

More than 100 people are in the area. The block between Van Nostrand and Stevens avenues has been cordoned off.

A short time ago, a woman collapsed to the ground screaming, "Please tell me I'm dreaming ... That's my baby. Oh, my God."
