I'm looking for recommendations for a concrete/masonry contractor. Work is on a concrete sidewalk that needs urgent repair, the past winter did a number on it.

I'm asking because the prior recommendations in this thread are 3 years old.

Thank you in advance.

The metal lintel in our stoop is very rusted. The brick part of the stoop rests on it for the entrance to a basement apartment. There are now also cracks in the brick portion of the stoop above the lintel. I am not sure how extensive a fix would be required.

I'd say this shows the problem we are having pretty well (although I'd say ours is in worse shape), http://www.cornerstone4.net/lintel-replacement.html.

I was wondering if anyone else has had similar work done. Who did you have do the work? Does it require a permit (I would assume it does)?
