Manhattan Yacht Club moving to Jersey City marina

In a letter to its members posted on the club's website, MYC commodore Michael Fortenbaugh announced it would be moving from its current home at Battery Park's North Cove to Liberty Harbor Marina in Jersey City this spring. "The concept of Jersey City might sound far to some members, but it is very close. Traveling across the Hudson River to Jersey City is similar to traveling across the East River to Brooklyn," Fortenbaugh wrote, adding that a commissioning ceremony for the club's 2015 season will be May 9 in Jersey City.
