Miles of difference between being robbed and being burglarized. Here's hoping you never find that out.

LOL! Their name is not Felicia, settle down. "Bye, Felicia" is a saying that, loosely translated, means "Shut up".

I needed that laugh though, so thanks for that.

Does the level of your communication skill coupled with the amount of time you spend attempting to communicate online count as irony, or just something sad?

Felicia, I have great friends, none of them ever robbed my house.
Bye!

Been here 25+ years and this is nothing new. Burglaries, robberies and an occasional murder was the norm not very long ago. People have to stop being casual about their property and their safety.

Muggin in Enos Jones park, apartment break-in, car put up on blocks. Lots of shady stuff happening around here recently. Possibly some people looking to score some cash for Christmas gifts. Stay safe everyone!

Michaelangelo Conte | The Jersey Journal

A Downtown Jersey City woman who went away for the Thanksgiving weekend arrived home to find nearly $1,900 worth of property had been stolen from her Monmouth Street apartment, authorities said today.

When officers were dispatched to the residence yesterday, the 31-year-old woman told them she was away from Tuesday night to Saturday morning. She said when she got back home she didn't notice anything was amiss until she tried to download pictures from her trip and found her laptop was gone, a police report says.

She then began looking around her apartment and realized that besides the $1,150 laptop, a Kindle Fire tablet, diamond earrings and a jar of coins were all missing, the report states.

Police said there were no signs of forced entry.

Anyone with information on the burglary is asked to call the Jersey City police tip line at (201) 547-JAIL.
