Yes there are few laws for Sheds. It has to be about 25ft away from the home foundation wall. If its one of those plastic/ressin type sheds than you don't need a permit. Just call them and confirm.

I think much depends on "permanence". If it's one of those 6x8 kits you throw up, you probably should just do it. If it's big and/or needs footings etc, you're in business with 30 Montgomery.

Anyone know the zoning and building regulations for garden sheds?

Is zoning approval needed to put one up? I assume there will be size and height limits.
Are building permits needed?

I of course will be asking at 30 Montgomery at some point, but thought someone here may have some information in the meantime.
