You could always send them to Barcade for an afternoon...

I don't know what sort of shopping exists in Seattle. It's a place I've not been yet. However, since Jersey does have no tax on clothing, it could be a draw...

The Statue of Liberty is a pretty big draw. Have them head out to Liberty State Park to get on the ferry. They can hit up Ellis Island and, if they're early enough, get to go inside the statue itself. They sell specific tickets for the statue, but it's split 50/50 with NY and NJ. More people tend to travel from NY, so you have a better chance of going up from the Jersey side.

I don't know how many days your friends are looking to stay, but between Statue of Liberty, a mall and walking around downtown, you could have three days covered.

For a bit of NJ flavor, maybe one of those Soprano's bus tours? Lot's of scenes filmed in and around JC and neighboring towns. Or if you have a car you can make your own-go to Pizzatown in North Arlington, then to Holsten's in Bloomfield, you get the idea.

Thanks! we are meeting most evenings in the city for happy hour, dinner, and shows. But during the day I am working so they need to keep busy in JC from 8 AM till about 2 PM.
If they run out of things to do they can always go to NYC, I was just hoping there were more attractions on this side that I may have missed.

I wish JC had one of these big buses, it would make hosting so much easier lol Resized Image

Liberty Science Center is good timing for those interetsed in football. There is an NFL HOF exhibit now.

Hello Listers!

I am hosting two cousins from Seattle in a few months and one asked me what is there to do in Jersey City?

I actually drew a blank. After thinking about it long enough only things I could come up with was

1) Liberty Science Center
2) Liberty State Park
3) New York Bay Cemetery & Historic Jersey City & Harsimus Cemetery
4) Pole Position Raceway
5 The Water Front.

Are there any tourist attractions you can think of for two young people mid 20's who will spend 50% of their time in NYC during the evenings and the other 50% here during the day. Thanks in advance.
