Great place -- got a dozen boiled potato pierogies with onions made to order -- only $6. They are very nice people -- give them a try -- they are just opening!

I have been there 3 times already, the food is good and VERY reasonably priced. The most expensive dish on the menu is 8.95. This is from the dinner menu. The prices on the dinner menu range from 5.95 to 8.95. They have sandwichs that are 5 & 6. They serve breakfast as well. For the price and quality you can't beat it! I hope they do well.

We made it a point to drive by our old neighborhood yesterday and drop in. The owner is super nice and we ended up getting a huge amount of food. The son is in the front taking orders and his mom is in the back cooking up a storm. It was SO DELICIOUS and I'm glad that now we don't have to goto Brighton Beach for our Russian food fix.
The pricing is pretty reasonable for around here and you get a lot for the money. Authentic Russian/Ukrainian food.
It's got a thumbs up from me! I really hope they do well.

A new Ukranian eat-in / take-out restaurant opened up Wednesday. They serve an Eastern European based menu similar to Polish/Russian foods. Good comfort food such as Borscht soup, potato pancakes, pork chops, stuffed cabbage, baked chicken, sausage. Desserts: sweet doughnuts, apple pie, coffee cakes, and European pastries. The place has a simple atmosphere with a few tables but the family is doing all the cooking in the back room.
Location: 992 Summit Ave. corner of Bowers St.

I saw that Thursday & will have to make a point of stopping in. This is just what I need, another place to contribute to my burgeoning waistline.

How the pricing? I find Sava a little steep for lunch.
