How do you go about renting or buying one of those garages? Looking to find one for storing a classic car....

You may never see it. There is still no report in the paper about the incident on Congress St. on August 22 at 1:15 in the afternoon.

If it hasn't been reported to the paper from the police blotter, you have to wonder if the crime has been reported for statistical purposes at all.

I think this is the basis of Healy being able to say that crime is down.

Bar Keep! Another round!

I never get why so many of you think every crime that didn't make the Jersey Journal is a conspiracy. Ironically the JJ has reported more crime the last few years then they used to in the past. The JJ uses the crime reports just to fill in space when they don't have nothing to write about. The only crime that always makes the paper is murder.

I think the person probably got lazy and decided to take a short cut through the alley to save themselves half a block and probably ran into the type of person who would be hanging out in the alley for no reason. The police need to patrol the alleys more, they can be scary, even if you don't go in them.

How is trying to save time being lazy?

I live in a building that faces that alley. The only people I ever see walking through it are residents that live on the block parking their cars and people walking their dogs. I wouldn't necessarily think of it as a place to avoid, especially at 3:30 in the afternoon.

Back of an alley huh, seems shady to me.

There happens to be parking garages in those alley ways. There's nothing shady about putting your car in the garage and hoping to get home safe.

Proper lighting or even extreme illumination to ward off bad guys. Either get the auto type that senses people walking by or just suck up the electric bill and leave it on all night.

This was 3:30 PM, in the afternoon, broad daylight. I see many people walking their dogs, riding their bikes, working on their cars with garage doors open in that area.....it was broad daylight.

I rented a spot in that alley way for almost 2 years and came home at all hours of the night from work. There were motion sensor lights on a few of the garages.
