A Freudian slip?

;)

But seriously, I would love to try Ethiopian food in JC.

I had some in Paris long time ago, and it was good.

Much better than French food.

I too LOVE Ethiopain. I can vouch for Mesob being fabulous. They also have a brunch once a month. Haven't been but dying to try it.

I work in South Orange and can confirm that the recommendations of Lalibela and Harrar are good ones, although of the two, I prefer Harrar. But I also love the more upscale Makeda if you're willing to trek to New Brunswick: http://www.makedas.com/. I actually prefer all three of these to Meskerem. I used to go to the MacDougal Meskerem when I lived in the East Village several years ago, and was never blown away. But I was spoiled living in Chicago for so long near so many great Ethiopian places, so perhaps am a bit picky!

When I am craving Ethiopian, I head to South Orange. There are a couple good, small Ethiopian restaurants there!

I have not heard of any Ethiopian places in Jersey City. There was a great one in Bayonne but it closed about 3 years ago. Sad that place closed, the owner was awesome.

There used to be an Ethiopian restaurant on Bergen Ave, close to Fairview I think, is it still there?
