probably on their way to some "art" event downtown.
we get all kinds. what billyburg and long island city don't want, they throw over to us. dumping grounds for art school drop-outs.

They were not the same age.. From 20's to 50 or 60's I think. They were white.
One of the marchers was holding a Dove peace flag, another the rainbow flag. Quote:

Just curious what was the age group and were they all the same age. Also was their ethnic make-up similar or mixed ? Usualy certain cultures come accross as hippies such as the OWS folks, the skateboard crowd, or grunge rock scene. Even those from the old country seem tribal to some extent. Which is what hippies portray.

Anyone know what this was about? Driving by and saw less than a dozen hippies banging drums, holding some flags, walking on Kennedy heading towards Manhattan park.
