Please don't take him to Liberty. If he's got an infection, they may take it as an excuse to put him down. Even if it's a very treatable infection requiring $20 worth of medicine. They aren't as committed to saving animal lives as they could and should be.

I'll try to make this long story short:

Last winter someone dumped a tabby cat downtown.
It made it through the winter but had a bad respiratory infection.

A woman that I met through feeding some feral cats wanted him and so one day just was able to get him. She took him to vet. and got him all his shots, neutered, antibiotics etc.

She took him to her apt. where she had another cat she had taken from the streets.

She had taken another job out of state at this time and was commuting back and forth on the weekends to Jersey City while living in her new location. She still had her rental in JC.

While she was away for the week and having a pet sitter feed the cats.. the cat I am talking about with this post jumped out of the screen as she left the window up.

So now the cats back on the streets!

She moved out of state and my Wife and I put flyers up and kept looking. Just this weekend I saw him off of Newark Avenue!!

He has the infection again and I have been feeding him.

The bad part of this story is that I called the woman excitedly to tell her that I found the cat. She sent me a text back saying he would be better off where he was! I was taken a back.

So she does not want him anymore and he is now living in a parking lot.

I am going to try to get him to Liberty Humane. They are really overloaded there.

Would anyone be interested in adopting him? He is a little over a year old and his records I hope to have if the woman will authorize the vet to give them to me.

He is very sweet. We have three so can't take him.

I will try to figure out how to post some pics up here so you can see him.

If anyone wants him or knows someone who might please let me know here or PM me.

Thanks everyone.
