.
don't know if you solved this yet...

from what I remember you first go to Hudson County, then they send a document to the JC tax department and your tax info. gets updated.

This is the link to the HC Register (on corneilson ave)

Good luck

I recently had the same problem with a condo that I sold, deed has not been recorded. There seem to be some delays at the Jersey City office of deeds, maybe they are short-staffed or something.

It wasn't like this a couple years ago, deeds were recorded within a month or two.

go to 595 newark ave with proof of the condo being paid off and all of your paperwork. i think they are on the first floor, room 104 maybe? i used to do deeds but only for the sheriff, so i'm not that informative on it but i used to have to send people upstairs all the time for non-foreclosure deeds.

My husband and I closed on our condo 6/10. We haven't gotten our registered deed yet. The tax records still show the previous owners listed. Our attorney [someone recommended from this site] is not returning our phone calls.

When I called the tax office, they asked to see our deed, which we don't have and don't seem to be able to get.

How can we get our registered deed?
1. get another attorney to fix this mess ...?
2. do not pay property taxes until we see an actual bill ? [I suspect this will get the quickest response, then again, it is Jersey City]....?
3.... any other options?

Thanks. This is starting to drive me crazy.
