Though it may be hard to believe, I actually used Home Depot (not the one in JC - this was before they opened so I don't know how they are) to re-do my kitchen. I made an appointment with one of the kitchen designers, gave her the dimensions of my kitchen and told her what I wanted in terms of cabinet functionality, appliance placement, etc. She designed a perfect kitchen right in front of me, asking for my input all along the way and for free! I actually purchased my cabinets and granite through them at quite a significant savings and both were beautiful. They have everything from standard, stock cabinets to high end stuff. And I bought my appliances through a reputable, discount dealer.

The advantage is that if anything goes wrong or you're dissatisfied, the company makes sure that the fix is done. Independent contractors aren't guaranteed to come back. Home Depot will. And I understand that Lowe's does a good job as well.

OnTime construction. Reasonable pricing and as their name suggests they can get things done without tons of delays...

Hi,

I'd like to buy the cabinets, flooring, counter and appliances necessary to update my kitchen but I'm looking for someone to install all this. In particular, the floor. Any recommendations are greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Moto

If anyone knows any reputable and reasonably priced general contractors (specializing in kitchen and bathroom renovations and preferably in the Monmouth County area), please PM me.

Also, if you know any reputable electricians in downtown Jersey City who don't price gouge, please PM that information as well.

Thnx!

Hi,
I am looking for a licensed general contractor who can do a variety of different jobs for me for a rental property, including some roofing work, replacing kitchen cabinets, etc. Does anyone have suggestions for someone who is versatile, reliable and also reasonable in price?

Thanks,
