With a cashless society this wouldn't have happened. Using a debit card would insure that all fees are paid ahead of time before the customer takeoff. Every monitary transaction would be accounted for with this system.

The irony is that cabbies (at least in NYC) are potentially among the most resistant of all professions to accepting credit/debit cards instead of cash. I wonder if the personal safety argument might win some over.

And then the government, your employer, and other financial institutions can use the paper trail against you. Took a cab at 4:40AM? -50 points on your FICO score. Take cabs after 4AM more than twice a week? Fail the background check.

This is what happened in WW 2 Germany it became a chaotic atmosphere where Berlin was the capital of hedonism. So government took charge and made change for the good of the people. Monitoring the best way they could at those times. Well these days we have more appropriate ways by itemizing every move in every facet of society. It’s happening already, young people being mesmerized by the electronic industry, being brought up with limitless and ageless boundaries. Giving in to the masses of people by inviting them to an already over crowded country of ours. For every action there is an equal or greater reaction.
