Cafe Nia is great. I hope they haven't closed down for good!

Never been, but looks like a great place in a not-so-great location.

Hello. Surprised not to see a review on here of Cafe Nia on 2nd and Brunswick. It's apparently been open over a year and a half.

Went there for the first time today for lunch. Had a Turkey club sandwich.

Lunch was made fresh while I waited. It came with a decent size side house salad with fresh tomatoes with a light vinaigrette dressing. The lettuce was crisp and there were several varieties including arugula, iceberg and one other kind. A European style salad I guess.

The sandwich was a very good size and with the salad, the presentation was very nice. Down to the cherry tomatoes on the wooden sticks holding the sandwich together.

The place itself is very cute. The staff was very friendly and answered the questions I had. And prices were very reasonable for a turkey club w/salad and diet coke around 8 bucks.

I will definitely be returning.

Fletch

Nexus6wrote What kind of breakfast selection do they have?

They offer muffins, scones, yogurt/granola, bagels, pancakes, french toast, egg wraps... all under $5.

Smoothies $3

Panini's $5.95-6.25
Wraps $5.25-5.50
Salads $4.95-5.95

I just happen to have a takeout menu with me...

I'm tired of Basic. Their coffee really isn't very good and their food is good but way too expensive.

Checked this place out yesterday for lunch and had a very nice experience. The garden patio isn't open yet, but the service was great and fast (which is an improvement from BBs).

We had panini sandwiches and the hummus platter. Will definitely be back.

I ate at Cafe Nia early Saturday morning on their grand opening day. Inside looks very nice - warm colors - looks like they redid the floor, stained dark wood and had dark wood tables, very nice. Food was great - I had pancakes & bacon - hubby had a bagel w/ butter & we got 2 drinks - it was about 8 bucks. We'll be back. Also I think the owner's young daughter's name is Nia - hence cafe Nia.

Decided to have lunch there before someone reported that their brother-in-law knows someone who hallucinated eating there and thought that the pepper shakers were not authentic.

Alas - they are closed. Sign says open for bfast on Sunday.

Anyone know what kind of food they will have? Is the name Nia a clue?

Wound up with #59 at Vietnamese place nearby. Just like grandmama used to make.

Yes! I noticed this last night too! Not sure I like the new, brighter yellow but I love the new awning. I'm excited to have this place open again.
