It is a major source of revenue (tickets for not moving your car) for the city.

However, the amount of street trash in my neighborhood is staggering at times. Though the situation has improved some since extensive gentrification has taken place. The amount of malt-liquor models thrown in the street or in my bushes has gone down considerably. The street sweepers normally unload into a dump truck near me. I can tell you, even with them running 4 days per week, the street sweeper is packed full of trash.

I miss the Reading-Willing-Able guys. When the city was using them, they actually did a pretty good job in cleaning up the trash. Especially around the catch basins.

Does anyone else feel having a street sweeper come through 4x a week is grossly excessive? Every other city in the nation does street sweeping twice a month. This seems to be a huge waste of resources, and is utilized by the city as a source of revenue, writing excessive tickets and taxing JC residents directly who are not privileged enough to have off-street parking. Just curious what others think.
