I just called the owner and spoke with the head contractor.
He was very nice and said he's going to have them net the property to contain it. But if anyone has information about what to do in the case that the contractor is not as nice. Others in Jersey City must have run into this problem. Thanks.

For the second time this summer someone on my block is putting Styrofoam stucco siding on the back of their house. When the workers sand it, little beads of white Styrofoam blow all over the place like it's snowing.

The last time it was a mess. It was all over my plants, backyard future, between the pavers. It clings to everything. The worst part was it clung to my cats and they tracked it all over the house. It took me and my husband all day to clean it up. He literally had to vacuum the pavers.

Now it's starting again. I don't know what to do. How can this be legal? I've seen other construction sites (MY school) where they use a vacuum to help contain it, like a bag attached to a sander or lawn mower.

Who can I contact to find out how to protect my property from this Styrofoam blizzard? I spoke with the construction guy but he was no help.
