That's so sad to hear! I empathize with the educators today.....they can't teach even if they wanted to. It has become a matter of survival at this point and it's heartbreaking. There was a time when teachers were able to love their job and make a difference. Between all the paperwork, and the test prep, the crime and safety, who has time to really teach our kids anymore?

My old neighborhood! I just moved to Lambertville, and wake up now to the sounds of the D&R Canal spillway and ducks...

When you see the brawl at Dickinson HS, it really makes the closing of St. Anthony HS even sadder. Dickinson has been a problem for a long time. It is overcrowded and there are different gangs who attend the school. I have a friend who teaches there. She said some of the parents are also gang members and encourages some of the fights.

Cops have to start using flash-bang grenades to stun these punks and then arrest or move them along.

WATCH: Cops need pepper spray to break up massive Jersey City street brawl

By Patrick Villanova | The Jersey Journal
on April 06, 2017 at 12:02 PM

Police had to use pepper spray to break up a large brawl that broke out in a Jersey City street Monday afternoon near Dickinson High School, authorities said.

The wild melee, which was captured on video and published to Facebook, started shortly after 3:10 p.m. and included dozens of students flooding a city block near the Palisade Avenue high school.

The video shows the chaos spill into the street on Pavonia Avenue. Motorists can be heard honking their horns as the fisticuffs erupt in the middle of traffic.
