PJ Ryans is such a great location, but has such a shitty atmosphere. What a waste - can't see in or out. Super weird and ugly looking.

Oh well. Actually, their pub food is solid. I almost never go there, but it's OK if you want to watch a game.

I think you have an innate disgust for frosted or opaque glass. Weren't you also complaining about the opaque glass that separates the grill/prep area at BURGER Eatery?

I actually like the look and feel of the wooden blinds at PJ Ryans. It makes it feel a bit more upscale and gives it the place an enhanced sense of intimacy. I do agree with you that the food has always been solid.

"no love for the heights, western slope, and Greenville"

Wrong thread, or are you hoping PJ Ryan's expands into every neighborhood?

Would they cook it in a separate grill? Would it still be veg/vegan if you use the same grill or utensils?

There is a new chef and the menu is redesigned. Typical bar food still exists, but there are some new options for veggies and vegans. Falafel burger with roasted tomatoes, lemon curry tahini on big English muffin? YUM! Also a big vegan salad for the Mrs.

In a town with limited vegan options, hat tip to PJ's.

I noticed that the logo on the window on the way to work this morning - at first I thought it was an Albanian flag, but realized it was for PJ Ryan's. I have been wondering what the first new type of restaurant would show up at JSQ. Once the 54 story tower behind JSQ is complete these people would have to walk right by the new PJ Ryans to get to trains.

yeah....I heard the PJ Ryan rumor a few years ago I guess it was true. Smart move especially since the first JSquared tower of 500 units will be opening later this year. Also a smart move considering something like 26,000 commuters use Transportation Center everyday.

Journal Square has been dry for far too long. I hope it will be as cool as The Tube Bar was.

It will be a welcomed addition ....people in the Journal Square area have been hoping for a place to have a burger and beer for many decades. You can only eat so much Indian food before you get tired of it.

Look's like JSQ Path terminal is getting a PJ Ryan's built on the upper concourse.

Should pull an interesting crowd.

I'm a semi-regular there due to poker night, but I've only had the new food once - it's so far been just as good as the previous chef. Interesting about the back-building you're talking about Bread. Please elaborate because I wasn't aware of this.

PJ Ryan's is not a very good neighbor.

If anyone remembers the fight over the little back building ? when they brought out their big guns and call us as many nasty names as they could just a few years ago.

The only reason to support P J Ryan's would be some day support a new owner.

Welcome Chef Steve. Seriously though, you obviously work there so just say that you do, no one believes you just created an account to say how awesome the new menu is.
