That's mostly an urban legend as well. Many vets did join the anti-war movement though.

New York Times:

Donald J. Trump has been under fire for insisting that Muslims in New Jersey were cheering when the World Trade Center fell on Sept. 11, 2001 ? a claim that has been difficult to corroborate.

But on Monday, one of Mr. Trump?s chief rivals for the Republican presidential nomination said that he, too, saw American Muslims celebrate as the twin towers fell.

?I saw the film of it,? Ben Carson, the retired neurosurgeon who is running close to Mr. Trump in many polls, said.

http://www.nytimes.com/politics/first ... slims-celebrating-on-911/

You can guess which two nut-jobs aren't getting my vote or indirect vote.

Here is an interesting note - Didn't people celebrate when we withdrew troops from Vietnam and didn't people burn the flag and spit on returning soldiers of that conflict?

You can't choose your race. But you can choose your religion.

Over 20 Muslim run countries will kill you if you choose to convert to another religion, of course, but the differences between race and religion go far beyond the pedantic.

Pedantry is a mark of a small mind with no argument to back it up.

Wasn't aware that Muslims are now a separate race of people. Please, enlighten us with more of your knowledge!

I give no such credit to Yvonne. She is no less a bigot. She is merely not as smart as some are in trying to pretend she isn't while attempting to position herself to plausibly deny her claims. This is why her claims are couched in third party anecdotes.

Anyone who puts forward unreliable tall tales like that is just race baiting.

score09 who started this bullsiht thread, must be sitting back thinking how wonderful he is - score09 and Yvonne seem to enjoy or have some sort of pleasure trying to be as divisive as they can be on JClist.

Yvonne could be excused for being ignorant, while score09 is more the planner and methodical when he starts a thread or makes comment.

Completely ignoring the fact that the reporter verified the story himself by interviewing eyewitnesses and talking to the JCPD? That's right, that goes against your narrative.

He verified there were allegations, and not the actual content of them.

If it was something that was later found to be unfounded, then I'm glad the truth has come out, however, I understand why Trump said it.

This was always shocking to me that people would respond this way, and I distinctly remember listening to President Bush's plea to treat Muslim Americans fairly and thinking of the video of Paterson.

I'm wondering now if they're denying they ever broadcast it because it was completely based on rumor.

People believe what they want to. In a day and age when you can easily look up facts, listening to rumor is merely laziness, or in the case of some, an exercise of confirmation bias.

Plane landing gear belonging to 9/11 Boeing jet found at 'Ground Zero mosque'

Resized Image

A fact:
"The victims were 28 Muslims who died in the twin towers of the World Trade Center, in addition to three Muslims who were among the passengers on two hijacked planes; one of them crashed on a Pennsylvania field before it reached its target, and the second one hit the Pentagon"

There was always a mosque near the World Trade Center.

The media can also refuse to air it due to being politically correct and not try to hurt that particular community. It's too sensative *rolls-eyes*

But there were eyewitnesses who complained and called Police when they saw.

No, that's what we have domestic white supremacists for.

Scientology is more of a scam and racketeering operation that threatens their own members.

I don't see Scientologist putting on suicide bomb vests and blow up innocent people having drinks at an outdoor cafes, dining at a restaurant. Shooting and knifing concert goers at a Concert halls. Blowing up Jumbo airplanes. Beheading Westerners and their own people. Indoctrinating young boys to be terrorists...

Not really. Not when a major p[arty candidate uses it as an excuse to tout bigotry, while making up incidents and support out of whole cloth, and many jump to the liar's defense with more lies.

And that shitty bog does not say what you say it does. It even backpedals while trying to claim cover for Trump, much like you asses.

Those posters need to apologized to me for saying my friends and those that was born and raised and still live in Jersey City were eyewitnesses to those muslim men celebrating on top of roofs in Jersey City are liars!

Fulop need to retract his lie too. I saw him being interviewed yesterday saying Trump was a liar. LOL.

It's more likely they latched onto that unverified lie back then. I still don't believe you. Event the Post article never says those supposed rooftop celebrants were more than alleged.

The reporter verified the celebrations at the time based on information from the JCPD and his own interviews of eyewitnesses to the celebrations.

"Then there is this follow-up from Irfan Khawaja in July 2004:

In an email to me on Dec. 16, 2003, Kovaleski indicated that his information had come from the Jersey City Police Department, and that he had confirmed the JCPD?s information via interviews of eyewitnesses of the celebration."

http://www.powerlineblog.com/archives ... the-truth-is-optional.php

That blog does a nice job detailing the lies and hypocrisy certain people have to cling to in order to maintain the fantasy world they live in.

Who cares? You can find a small % of people that believe lots of crazy stuff. I bet there are more Scientologists in JC than terrorist sympathizers. And this happened 15 years ago. Time to move on.

Don't reply to them. They will only try to argue with you when there's no argument. They will call you a liar when they don't want to know the truth.

They are a waste of mega-bytes. LOL

You cannot logically convince a person who holds irrational beliefs, nor people who spout nonsense with ulterior motives, such as supporting a candidate of their pet political party.

But at least you can educate the ignorant.

What argument. Where is your support of the false flag nuttery. Extraordinary assertions require extraordinary evidence. Usage of logical fallacy terminology does not get rid of your original burden of proof. Until you come up with it, I am in my rights to brush it off as nuttery.

Try to keep up.

What? "Self aggrandizing assertion"? Now, what is that?

Have you anything intelligent to say, or are you habituated to simplistic ad hominem attack? How about attacking the argument maintained? Ooops, I guess you just get the cognitive machinations rolling fast enough.

Do yourself a favor and don't dig yourself any deeper into the hole. I'll crush you. Trust me.

Not a dodge at all. It addressed both Trumps lie that you support, as well as showing that there are small numbers of hateful nuts in any community.

BTW, there are nutty white power 9-11 truther sites world wide too. Big f***ing deal.

Textbook ignoramus reply. When nothing of substance can be argued, throw out the "conspiracy theorist" label. Did you know that the geocentric view of the earth as the center of the Universe wasn't debunked unto the mid 19th century. They called Galileo the same. Only he was also a "blasphemer" and a "heretic." Of course, as to 9/11 Commission Report, as stated in post number 2 of this thread, is itself a "conspiracy theory."
