You forgot Hezbollah, Hamas, Islamic Jihad, al Nusra...
here's a nice list: http://www.state.gov/j/ct/rls/other/des/123085.htm

Most people are too internationally and historically illiterate to fully grasp the extent of these world events and societal tumult.

I linked to a John Oliver segment because i appreciated his take on the event, I found it clever and funny, NOT because he is an authority. I told you that already.
Have you watched the video? Do you really think I believe that 'Croques en bouche' are the French Freedom tower? Come on! Are you that dumb?

You clearly have a reading comprehension problem. That probably explains your views and ignorance.

Y'all should watch Fareed Zakaria's Blindsided. It talks about the inside of ISIS. Very chilling accounts by a German journalist who was allowed to see ISIS's community. He even said there are A LOT of Americans who joined ISIS and most are in New Jersey...

Something to think about since there seem to be more than enough apologists posting here.

FYI: Last night's raid, reports saying it was a WOMAN terrorists seem to be the leader of the others staying in one of the apartments , blew herself up when police raided, killing, the K-9 dog, Diesel. May she, the dog, rest in peace.

Except this isn't a fact. It's a clickbait article whose basis is the speculation of a single member of parliament that has been all but disqualified by the UK Foreign Office.

Here's the speculative estimation:
Mahmood, an MP from Birmingham "estimates that at least 1,500 young British Muslims have been recruited by extremists fighting in Iraq and Syria in the last three years."

This is not fact. This is hearsay. Additionally, the title of the article is sensational.

This is absolute nonsense pushed by "progressive" hacks in the media who have no idea how terrorists think.

I also love the implied threat: accept these Muslims or else they'll have no choice but to be radicalized by ISIS and commit terrorist massacres.

And ISIS already has a fertile recruiting ground: Muslims. They were joining ISIS long before this latest trope from the "progressive" media.

That's why TWICE AS MANY British Muslims have left to fight for ISIS than have joined their armed forces.

So if i understand well, the "progressives" media don't know anything but you do: out of curiosity, what are your qualifications exactly?

If i remember properly, you were already quite an expert during the Ebola outbreak, spewing your extremist views all over the forum. You were proven wrong then. Why don't you learn from it and take a step back?

Problem with accepting Muslim refugees will not be the refugees that land up here. it'll be be their offsprings twenty, thirty years from now who after having grown in the comforts of western society with the freedom, who will still to need find a reason to get angry about western imperialism or this or that

Wow, this thread is on fire!

I'd suggest we all take a step back for a moment and carefully consider the words and spirit of the following sentence:

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.

Third Street Hats, did you actually read your first link? You think that supports your argument that these refugees will find employment?

In fact it supports mine. According to Section III "Refugee Employment Outcomes" on page 7, there are massive quantities of refugees that cannot find employment. Doing a quick count, it looked like over 20 states had refugee unemployment rates above 40%. Two states had refugee unemployment rates above 80%. This is measured by taking the inverse of the "entered employment %"

You think that is a good thing? No, what it means is there will be a lot of pissed off Muslims.

And your second link is a joke. Yeah, supposedly the screening process for refugees takes several years. Given how badly this administration fucks many things up, I don't trust them for a second in handling this properly. What sounds good on paper usually doesn't translate into reality. And I'm not trusting Obama with my life.

And regarding ISIS sneaking in terrorists with "refugees," you'd be an absolute fool to deny it. Ever hear of the Paris terrorist attacks?

Well, Air France Flight #65 from LAX to Charles De Galle and Flight 55 from Dulles Airport to France have just been diverted to its nearest airport both due to security issues.

It's not going to be a pleasant flight for anyone now

I hope for the same result in November 2016.

The refugee issue resulted in right-wing parties winning in Europe.

Will Hillary push for Syrian refugee acceptance like lame duck Obama?

We may have to thank ISIS for a Republican victory.

Thank you, and you already know I stole that from Yoda.

watch this: http://www.huffingtonpost.ca/2015/11/ ... is-attacks_n_8578648.html

At some point he is asked, does Islam promote Terrorism, and he says Islam does not promote Peace or Violence. It is the people who become violent. There are Buddhist monks in Burma killing people wholesale.

The bigotry is saying these people are Muslims. When these white supremacists were arrested for burning Black churches, do we call them Christian Terrorists?

"given our employment situation": what employment situation are you talking about? the one with an unemployment rate at 5.0%, dropping month after month? the one that would welcome new workers? is that the one?

Third Street Hats, again you mention that the refugees must meet "work requirements." You fail to mention that this government support will not come if the refugee does not find work.

You also fail to mention that given our employment situation, many of these refugees will not find work.

So you will end up with a whole bunch of pissed off Muslims and not much we can do for them.

Also, you can't cite to historical precedent when we are dealing with unprecedented circumstances. Not only are many of these refugees Muslim, following a religion which is incompatible with many Western values, we also are dealing with ISIS who is sending over terrorists inside the stream of refugees. And no, I don't trust our government for a minute to determine who is a "real" refugee and who is "fake."

Finally, ISIS wants us to import these terrorists. We the people are standing up against this.
