If the media focused more on images like this (and there are plenty from around the country), and less on trying to provoke a race war, we'd all be better off.

What doe race have to do with anything. This is just two

Why does everything whether positive or negative have to
be labeled by race. I'm sure this scene plays out on a
daily basis in this world but no one takes notice.

I had the same reaction, but I also felt bad for the kid because things like learning to tie a tie, shaving, etc. are rites of passage that a teen boy usually learns from his father or other males in his family.

As he enters retirement, a Jersey City police officer is receiving a lot of positive attention on Facebook for a picture of him helping a young man on the street a few weeks ago.

On Thursday, Lashambi B. Moore shared a photo of Officer Charlie Casserly on Martin Luther King Drive with a local teen, wearing khakis a button-down shirt and sweater vest. The teen did not know how to tie his tie and asked Casserly for help.

"Charlie pulled the patrol car over, got out and spent nearly a half an hour teaching the young man how to tie a tie," Moore wrote on Facebook.

The photo was taken on July 9, just before 10 a.m.

nice pic..this will hopefully help community relations in that area...but still i think society and the courts should be ruthless in ferreting out and punishing evildoers -whether thugs or the police. i still can not get over that sandra bland video where that officer violated every rule in the book - he was a just an a_shole, a monster
