Many thanks, Brewster! You always seem to have the answer.

I'll send you my bill. Now if I could only get my own attorney to return a call...

Does anyone know the laws about renting out a one-family (non-owner occupied) house? If you do so, what are your rights (property owner rights) if you want to move back at some point or if you want to sell, assuming your renter is month-to-month? Any information is appreciated.

You're fine, NJ anti-eviction doesn't apply.

Causes for eviction:

L. (3) AN OWNER OF A BUILDING WITH THREE (3) OR FEWER UNITS
WISHES TO PERSONALLY OCCUPY A UNIT OR HAS CONTRACTED TO
SELL THE BUILDING TO A PERSON WHO WISHES TO PERSONALLY
OCCUPY IT and the contract calls for the unit to be vacant at closing. An eviction
action may be filed two (2) months after a written Notice to Quit. When a lease
is in effect, no eviction action may be taken until it expires
