Interesting how some people complain that we are over-governed and restricted by laws, however we do have knuckle-heads out there that need rules.
I'd imagine that the grilling on the sidewalk is a public safety issue and you would require a permit, (if it was even possible to get) public liability insurance and a barrier around the grill.
The uncovered trash cans would be a health issue to prevent the attraction of flies and rodents.
It just goes to show that common-sense isn't so common!

I'm sure a JClister will provide the ordinance codes for these issues, as it must of been an ongoing issue over time.

Does anyone know if the following is illegal in JC:

1) Barbecue grilling on public sidewalks

2) Uncovered trash cans

What does the municipal code state in these two situations?
