I encourage every one to come out for the Grace Wine Tasting benefitting two very important community programs that are very worthy of your support.

Grace Breakfast Plus program feeding the hungry (program info)
and
Grace Senior Center for Healthy Living program (program info)

I've volunteered for the Breakfast Plus program since 1997 and can tell you that this wonderful all-volunteer program is as beloved by those who serve and those who are served. The Grace Seniors program also rocks - providing a daily lunch, exercise including yoga, dance, craft activities, trips and more.

The Wine Tasting will take place in the beautiful sanctuary of Grace Church Van Vorst (39 Erie St. Jersey City, enter on 2nd St.) on Friday, May 10th, at 7:00pm.

It is always a great evening out! I hope to see many, many JC listers there! See link below to buy tickets on the GC website and save $10 and bring more friends!

WINE TASTING
Friday, May 10th
7:00pm ? 9:00pm

If you can't attend but would like to donate click here

Just so you know what the funds go to support, a largely volunteer group runs two major programs:

1. Monday thru Friday, over 100 seniors participate in a morning program that includes exercise and a good meal. The Parish Hall (basically the size of a basketball court) is generally full of participants.

2. Saturday and Sunday, over 100 individuals are served a good breakfast between 7 and 9 AM. All are welcome.

These are great programs worthy of support, and very cost effective with some donated food, and many volunteer people helping out.

THanks!

Still time to get the advance ticket price.

Like other organizations, their funding has been cut back, so this is about all they will be getting in terms of funding for a while.

Grace Van Vorst Community Service 201-659-2211 39 Erie Street

This is especially important this year as the seniors lost some of their funding, so this event will basically be it.

Agreed, I only attended last year and it was awesome. I purchased 3 cases of vino. As stated below the food is also very good. This is a great value. Unfortunately this year I wont be in town. Enjoy.

Pebble--it really is a good time, I have been the last two years. The wine selection is quite good, and there are plenty of servers, so you dont feel like things are rationed. The food is good too, and last year they had a good selection of beer and scotches for those that wanted to try other spirits.

I've gone to the one in Rahway and that was fun. These events are usually a good time. I'd love to give this one a try.
