I do miss that giant tree in the middle of hobo triangle. t'was the only Grove-like thing about the place.

There also used to be a parking lot, a Church's Fried Chicken (at one point), and then an abandoned crack house that caught fire early one evening in the early 2000's.

Pershing Plaza across the street, prior to being built in the 1980s was a Shop Rite.

Also, a little known fact.... Christopher Columbus Drive used to be called Railroad Avenue because an elevated railroad track ran down the center of the road.

Luis Munoz Marin Blvd also used to simply be called "Henderson Street". I wonder if Henderson minds?

The location of Club H used to be a PATH train rail yard, then they shut that down, put up a Charter School in a series of trailer homes on the site and eventually built the buildings there today.

I love all this nostalgia... the place was a real dump. LOL

I was wondering what used to be at the Grove Pointe location before they built the condos? If there are any pictures, that would be awesome.
