How else are they going to pay for all the tuition hikes come college time?

The owner is clearly not Scottish because he is missing the whole point of the kilt, which is to have the guy's junk hanging out. I might step foot in there if that was the case. Tilted indeed.

Hey don?t worry you might just get your wish. Somehow I don?t think there are any beautiful Scottish lusty leggy lassies left living in JC (say that 3 times fast) to fill the hostess jobs.

Something tells me the place is going to be stocked with beauties like this?

Are you ready to order.. laddie?

Talk about junk hanging out!! Yipes!

PS ? don?t bother sending me the free calendar!!!

While an uncomfortable relationship with the human body is common for Americans, the position that our children will be negatively affected if they see a half a boob is still a load of crap. What has decades of that attitude gotten us? At best, a desperate fascination with cheap titillation.

The restaurant employs a pathetically cheap concept so we can reject it for simply being cheap, not for its potential to appall Quakers who will never step foot inside.

My kids see me naked all of the time. My issue isn't nudity, which is normal, my issue is the way the women are dressed. They look like they are out of a Brazzers porno. I'm not going to want to explain why the women serving them are dressed like that, nor do I want them to think it's OK for them to dress like that when they get older. I'll just preemptively not take them. Believe me, I am not a freaking prude. But I certainly don't need to my girls think it's OK to sexualize themselves to make money.

I think it's pretty narrowly targeted at the officeworker crowd rather than the locals. BTW, I believe "tilted kilt" is a euphemism for an erection, not too family friendly!

I think you have a total misunderstanding of what Quakers are. Depending on what sect of Quaker you're from, or where you grew up, Quakers can either be very conservative (like in the midwest or Africa) or they can be very liberal people that range from free-love hippies to civil rights advocates. Most of the Quakers along the East Coast, even down South, are of the liberal mindset, and as such wouldn't have a problem with the place. Don't talk shit if you don't know shit. Quaker 4 lyfe yo.

Well, it's not as if it's a strip club.

Wish it was.

Well, it's not as if it's a strip club. But I see your point.

This seems like the kind of place that would work well on a bland commercial/retail highway in Texas, not Jersey City. I feel like it's just ... out of place? What market are they going for here with a massive chain sports bar? I would say it would draw some people from Hoboken, but Hoboken already has one apparently!

It just doesn't seem like the kind of place that would resonate with JC residents.

At least that space won't be vacant. Also the Surf City restaurant should be opening in the spring/summer, so at least the marina area will have some signs of life.

At first I was tricked by the interesting food items, but I will never step foot in this place. Ever. Unless I have a medical emergency right outside the door and need to go in there for urgent help.

I really do hate to crap on new businesses opening up in JC, but this place looks like a total cluster.

Pretty much every location for this chain across the country has 2 stars on Yelp.

Hello All,

I'm sitting here patiently for my flight to board and I figured I'd take a minute to thank you ALL for WOWing me with your company beliefs and support over the last few days. I am so happy to have come to this Brand Training to learn first hand how amazing this company really is. To be honest with you, I did not expect the level of professionalism and knowledge from such a young company. My dedication to this company has just been reconfirmed from these past 4 days. Thank you once again and please keep up the amazing work. I cant even begin to imagine where this company will be 10 years from now. Wow.

Thanks again.

Warmest Regards,

Based on the Yelp reviews I can imagine where this company will be 2 years from now -- defunct.

With dishes such as the Irish Nachos, the Scottish Cheesesteak Salad, Maggie Mae?s Fish & Chips and Gaelic Chicken in an Irish whiskey cream sauce, the Tilted Kilt will appeal to a variety of tastebuds. A bevy of burgers, sandwiches and salads are also on the menu. More than 30 beers are on tap, all of which will be served by a beautiful wait staff dressed in white blouses, plaid kilts and knee-high socks complementing the Celtic theme. For the sports enthusiast, no fewer than 49 HD TVs will air just about every popular sporting event available, including professional football, basketball, baseball and hockey, as well as college athletics.

where is this location exactly?

Do you mean even more drunken derelicts wondering over after they are kicked out of the Titled Kilt?

Um, I guess it's better than an empty space, which is what the Sawa space has been since the building opened.

Looks kind of weird/corny/chainy. Probably the kind of place that will bring in the Miller Light chugging crowd from out of town.

Yes, this looks like it's a go. The restaurant is supposed to open in what was the space for Sawa restaurant at Gulls Cove. The owner has purchased the retail space.

The owner did come by to meet the residents of the building. He already has one opened at Metrostop in Hoboken (building by the 9th st. light rail built by the same developer as Gulls Cove). He also owns The Melting Pot (fondue restaurant) in Hoboken.
