Quality is decent at best. Issue is the attitude and price.

Quality is decent at best? So they don't get your clothes clean?

Exactly. Zick's post reeks of snark and I can only imagine how pleasant she must be in-person. Likely the same type of person who goes into a grocery store, sees something is out-of-stock, and then causes a commotion at customer service because of it. "What do you mean there's a shipping issue!? I'm here now and demand you get me one!"

You sound like a bunch of angry ranting Republicans.

Get a life, I'll get a new dry cleaner, and tomorrow the sun will rise.

Have a great week.

What's great is the lady who took it upon herself to post a hit-and-run to harm a local business, (but won't say why) at noon on the day the business is closed (ooooh, how long was it burning up inside?), thinks i'm the one getting "spun up."

Attitude isn't the only thing she's good at projecting.

Oh Zick! LOL, you trying to play dirty? Really, if you wanted a recommendation for a good cleaners, you should have just asked me directly.. But, my suggestion is you just smile next time you go in and I am sure they will be just as nice. Its just my humble opinion that perhaps you are the issue... Still would love to know what happened to cause you to be so vocal.

At the rate they're going? I'll take our 5 years of weekly experiences with them over your 3 transactions. And if your attitude in person is half as unpleasant as it appears from your internet histrionics, I think folks can easily do the math on which account is a more representative sampling.

But by all means pat yourself on the back for unleashing your vendetta against a local dry cleaner. You're certainly in the right place for it. You go, girl.

ShutItDown - Glad to hear you got good service from YES Cleaners. Yes, the receipt says YES. You're the exception and at the rate they're going, you too will have to find a new cleaners. Further, if you don't like the fact the JC residents are posting about service, good or bad, then stop reading this blog. Otherwise, keep getting yourself spun up.

Also, my post is not based on a 1-time bad experience. It's based on the 3 times I used the place. If they want to have a business, they'll have to learn something about customer service. They should learn same lesson the owners of Taqueria did. If you want to be rude to customers, open a second location in NYC where people don't give a rats a$$.

Canonguy20d - It's okay to admit it. Nobody will judge you for it. Also, thanks for the suggestion for a good cleaners. You finally answered the question.

Peace and Love,

Zick

5. Our only real complaint is that they are closed on Sundays and Mondays, which can make coordinating the timing more difficult. But they're a local mom and pop establishment, so I don't begrudge them 2 days off, particularly since they are more than willing to work with your schedule and turn things around in a day when needed.

Most dry cleaners are closed on Mondays as opposed to Saturdays because Saturday is a busy day. And hey it's Sunday so thats a given.

1. It's "Y&S" Cleaners, not "YES". R.I.F.

2. We've been using them for dry cleaning and minor tailoring/alterations for about 5 years or so. We are a high volume household as far as dry cleaning goes, spending a good couple hundred bucks a month on shirts being washed/pressed and suits/delicate fabrics being dry cleaned.

3. They are courteous, pleasant, and professional. Never once have we experienced an attitude. 95% of the time it's the Korean woman we deal with, and she is always friendly, knows our name, and accommodates our schedule. Can't ever say the Korean guy (her husband?) has ever copped an attitude, though he's certainly less outgoing than the lady.

4. We don't typically price compare, so for all we know they very well may be more expensive than local competitors, but we've been more than satisfied with their service. On the few occasions we've had complaints, they've addressed them professionally, to our satisfaction, and free of charge.

5. Our only real complaint is that they are closed on Sundays and Mondays, which can make coordinating the timing more difficult. But they're a local mom and pop establishment, so I don't begrudge them 2 days off, particularly since they are more than willing to work with your schedule and turn things around in a day when needed.

Take as many swipes at me for registering to defend them as you want. I'm just a loyal customer (and neighbor) who is sick of seeing people throw unsubstantiated hissy fits on websites like this one. Zick's bad day can translate into real harm to a local business that absolutely doesn't deserve it.

Well, what happened? Were they rude? Maybe they had reason? I'd be fit to be tied if I worked at a cleaners and a customer was nasty. I think your post would be better served if you gave more detail to your story. Thanks for suggesting I go to YES cleaners, but I'm loyal to the little spot on Pavonia and Erie.

How about some details on your claim? Did they damage a prom dress or something?

They should actually be called No Cleaners, because they overcharge and under-deliver.
The owners are more checked out than the owners of Taqueria! Good luck staying in business with that kind of attitude in the United States of America.
Any recommendations for a good Dry Cleaner?

I guess you would mean a cleaners near the one in question ? How about one between where you live and work so it's on the way within the reach of your commute? Lets just hope you won't be taken to one like the previous place.
