Went there yesterday w/ the hubby. It's awesome and I am thrilled to have a new business on Newark.

Korean Fried Chicken def takes a bit of time - they do each to order so most orders take 20-30 minutes to fill - I would pick up a menu and either call ahead if you want to pick it up or eat there or just have it delivered.

We ate there yesterday. It was very busy and orders took a long time, but the chicken was very good. Both the Spicy and the Garlic/Soy were very good. We had the boneless breast pieces. I wasn't a fan of the kimchi cole slaw, but next time I want to try the other side dishes.

Most addictive fried chicken ever! It is really popular in K-town in NYC - see article that really catapulted it to fame!

So glad to have something like this here on Newark Ave!

Just walked by and noticed a nice little crowd. Nice sight to see...

Has anyone had a chance to sample it yet?

Not only do I hope this place stays open because of the food, but also because, like the predecessor of its space, the storefront looks so much better for Newark Avenue.

I'm no urban planner but I think Newark Avenue is a perfect textbook example of urban blight with all of its extremely antiquated storefronts up and down the street. Only BonChon, the Greek restaurant and maybe the now closed Washington Mutual branch are an exception to what I see on that street (that Italian place in the middle of the street looks okay too I guess). When I spoke to one of the family owners, she said that while the city has been very supportive of them getting to open, she ran into numerous issues with the Buildings Department (surprise, surprise).

I have no ownership interest in any business on Newark Avenue but I am so sick of the Buildings Department putting up roadblocks to the people and businesses who are doing things to improve this city and get rid of the antiquated storefronts. If the mayor's office truly cared about this, they would do something about the Buildings Department. It is just appalling and seems to be stifling all the progress the city could make.

BonChon is amazing, please support this business so it sticks around longer than the Atomic Wings did. I would highly recommend.

We walked by BonChon on Newark Ave...in the former Atomic Wings space. Looked good and the menu seemed to have more items than the 32nd St. one!
