Not sure if the location is convenient to you, but on the far east side of Communipaw Avenue there is a glass shop that can cut a piece of glass, or mirror, to custom dimensions. Their name is Raymond Glass Co.. Their address is 311 Communipaw Avenue. Never used them, but did get an estimate once for a piece of custom mirror and it was VERY reasonable and they provided the estimate on the spot.

Our dining room table has 4 pieces of glass inlaid, and one broke. I'm wondering where I can go to get glass cut to a specific size?

TIA.

For what it is worth -- for what I needed -- I called around and the cheapest place for single pane window glass under 36" x 36"was Duncan Hardware $15 followed by Downtown Hardware $20 -- Hoboken Glass wanted $50 and Raymond wanted $35

Your mileage may vary!

I had two large pieces cut at Raymond Glass on Communipaw. Good job at a great price, and fast. I did a little shopping around, admittedly not a ton, and they were lowest.

I've had good luck with both Raymond Glass (perhaps a little more pricey than the competition) and Bob's Auto Glass on Communipaw (a bit less expensive).

You're not very specific in your needs, but Downtown Hardware has always done fine for me.

I've used Hoboken Glass when I needed some for cabinets. Seemed like a decent price.

If you'd like eo email a photo of the original panel you'd like to have replicated? If you'd like I'd be happy to have a look. Best!

Yes,yes, yes! Call Barbara Maese at Artbuilders on Montgomery Street. She does major glass work and restoration and can fix anything.

Does anyone have recommendations in where I can go to get a antique glass panel in a door with etching? I have a double door with matching etched glass in the foyer of my brownstone. Unfotunately, one just broke and I'm desperate to find a replacement or worse case have a replica made. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hoboken Glass did a a decent job on that kind of project for me. Plain glass was about $10 each for 18" high cabs.

Does anyone know of a glass shop that does quality work? I need some glass cut for kitchen cabinets. The only place in Jersey City that I have been to is Eagle Glass in Mcginley Sq, and they are butchers.
