Up in the Heights they have some spectacular houses lit up. West of the Boulevard on Grace St. there is a house decorated nicely with the nativity scene displayed, also on the Western Slope on Liberty across from the candy store near North St. is a wonderful display it looks like a winter wonderland. These are just a couple of houses out of the many more lighting up the way for the Christian birthday celebration.

We found some nice ones in our neighborhood, Hamilton Park. One 5th at Monmouth there's a ridiculously large display, complete with animated Santas, a polar bear and a countdown clock. My kid loved it. On 8th at Monmouth, most of the houses on the block have really nice, tasteful lights. Very pretty - lots of big paper lanterns, kind of magical.

There are lots of Italians between Brunswick and Monmouth, but I don't see any carnevale lights around here.

Try Madison, Florham Park, East Hanover or Bayonne.

Looks good, too.

What streets have the best christmas lights, or, where do the old Italians live?
