this was late at night, past 8pm i think, so it wasnt for a conference

unless, Corzine was spending the night in Hoboken, then going to the conference

makes sence now

JERSEY CITY -- More than 400 law enforcement and emergency management officials are gathering near the Statue of Liberty to examine critical homeland security issues facing New Jersey's urban areas.

Homeland Security Undersecretary Rand Beers and New Jersey Gov. Jon Corzine will join authorities to discuss regional catastrophic planning, the mix of crime and terrorism in cities, and the challenges of securing mass transit networks and ports.

The conference is being held at the Hyatt Regency.

Good chance it was Corzine indeed. He is usually in an SUV (despite his claims of green-ness) .

Did anyone else see a JCPD car escorting an SUV yesterday?

They were heading on Marin (but there was quite a bit of traffic) so they took a right on Columbus. Lights flashing from the JCPD car but no sirens. The SUV behind him was either silver or gold. They turned on Washington St. and continued North. A few min later I saw a JCPD SUV (again lights but no sirens) trying to catch up to them but he was going on Greene St, then merging onto Washington.

The only reason why im posting this is because it makes me curious if that was Corzine. I know he has a place in Hoboken and thats kinda where they where heading. But then again, why was it JCPD cops and not state police.
