Sorry to have so many questions, but does anyone know of a cafe where there is free wifi ? Hyatt charges $10 a day and I just need about half an hour per day. I called Au Bon Pain at 101 Hudson and they said they don't have any.

park on columbus after 5pm on weekdays from greene all the way to marin blvd. you need to move your car by 7am the following day but make sure you park on the side where street sweeping won't be the following day otherwise you will need to move it by 5 or 6 i think. it is free you just have to be smart about it.

Thanks, but what about evening parking. About 6PM - 8AM?

In addition, can anyone recommend some inexpensive ethic restaurants around the hotel ? Reachable by walking or Path ?

There's a lot of ethnic food on Grove - about a 10 min walk down Columbus from the Hyatt - everything from Chinese/Thai/Japanese to Pakistani, Soul Food, Cuban, Falafel. Really can't go wrong on Grove.

You can park on the street between the hours of 3pm till 10:00am just watch for the street sweeping signs and normal signage along with the special cardboard signs as well as the green residential only no parking signs. It can be done if you are dilligent enough not to be stupid. Sorry, had to be blunt though.

The Edison Parking lot on Montgomery which is not too far a walk you can park for $10/day, but that usually means you have to leave by 9am and be back by 4pm. Obviously that is the premium window of time for most people commuting into NYC.

That is probably the best you are going to do.

How is the street parking around the hotel ? Is it pretty easy to find spaces there in the evening ?

I will be checking into the Hyatt on the Hudson hotel at Exchange Pl. Is there any cheaper parking around the area than the $25 charged by the hotel or the $22 charged by Central Parking system?
