We the citizens of Jersey City need to keep the pressure on and push their buttons until these times bombs waiting to go off explode.

Team Healy does not care about the citizens of Jersey City, so we must take matters into out own hands and make life uncomfortable for them.

We need to make it so uncomfortable that they don't want to be out in public.

Hell there are sections of Jersey City people cannot come out of their houses because of crime and the criminals and fear of getting shot.

Most of Team Healy has been in office from anywhere from eight to sixteen years, under the Team Healy administration they have yet to seriously address the crime issue in Jersey City.

Team Healy is too concerned with giving developers abatement's rather addressing a deep rooted issue such as crime.

Saw the whole thing go down. What a tool. You would think being that your mom works for the government, she would have taught you some class. Nope, you're just like the rest of the worthless riff raff around this city. Except your benz was bought with tax payers' money as opposed to some junkie's last dollar bill.

I saw that! I wondered who that was. I assumed from the look of him and the car he was driving that he was on the govt payroll. Good guess on my part. Did you notice the other tough guy in the black Range Rover with tinted windows who acknowledged Phillip Flood as he got into his Benz? Who might that have been?

Vega is still council president. Pro tem measure just formalizes that Brennan acts as Preident if Vega is absent.

Healy did not resign. Just said the same things he's been saying since last Thursday.

From what I understood, the senior citizens in other municipalities get their vouchers quicker then those in JC. She was complaining that by the time JC seniors get their vouchers, the summertime farmers market is over. I don't think it was the acoustics as much as the woman not speaking clearly.

On Number 1, Vega is still a councilman, but is no longer the Council President.

On Number 2, one can only hope.

I think he should have resigned after the Bradley Beach antics, so this is just another in a string of events.

There are now 9 TV cameras in the front of the chambers. Mad dash after Vega at recess.

I counted about 50 outside, and heard the AP reporter say 35. but inside the chamber, all seats were occupied, so there were more. I'm guessing the chamber fits 200?

About 2/3 of original crowd was gone by the time Levin spoke. He was 19 on the list - those still here were clapped out and flat by then.

That's probably because the PA system in the chamber is horrible. We could barely hear 75% of the speakers at the front.

If there are Healy supporters (or Vega), they are silent. Best wray to follow proceedings is on Twitter. JC Independent is tweeting every two or three minutes.

Great Stuff, thanks for keeping us updated. I wanted sooo bad to be there, could not get out of a client meeting for this morning. Keep us updated, especially when the stack of petitions are handed in asking for Healy, Vega & Lopez's resignations.

How were the speeches? I had to leave for work just as they were getting started...

heights- I was living in a VERY isolated community in Secaucus and do not drive so I looked for a more open place. And the art deco and community here, The Beacon, appealed to me. For the record, I do NOT condone corruption, and it is ironic that the mayor of Secaucus was caught up in this too.

sjcarolan- yep. But I WAS seriously thinking about leaving the country when GWB was re-elected. I decided that even my small voice was necessary for change in the US and stayed.

Wow, I am guessing you wrote this to incite a response and not because you cant differentiate between liking a neighborhood and disagreeing with political ideals/corruption.

Here is an example, marybarr. I like living in America but was not a fan of GWB. My disgust at some of his policies did not make me consider leaving America, but rather to vote for another candidate.

Does this make sense to you?
