Speaking of stickball did you see the show "Bragging Rights: Stickball Stories" (PBS).

What a great show. It replays every now and then

Unrelated - not that I am interested in playing but, has anybody heard of any organized stickball around here? Stickball is the real game.
I remember a long time ago that they once closed off a section of Marin Blvd. for a stickball tournament. I did a quick google search and apparently Jersey City has had a stickball team for a number of years called the Saints. It looks like they're still competing actively in the New York Emperors Stickball League. You can find out more info here. http://www.stickball.com/ If we can get enough people, I'd definitely be down to play a pickup game / tournament. <>

Stoop ball? Did you grow up rich? We couldn't afford stoops, we played curb ball. If you hit the corner just right with a new Spaldeen that sucka flew.

- Never argue with an idiot. They bring you down to their level and then beat you with experience.

All of this technology and you can't post even one picture?

Sorry, I'm not walking all the way down there because you have an ill-defined issue with a stoop.

Anyone care to comment on the new stoop at above address? With all the yada about historic districts and guidelines and "shudder" appropriateness how did this just completed job get thru the maze?
