It's a crazy job, but Verizon is hiring Door to Door sales reps for FiOS. $800 - $1500 per week. Shoot me an email with your resume. markmorin@verizon.net

Are you looking for regular work or summer work? Depending on your major why not try tutoring privately? I give private music lessons for around $50 to $75 an hour. The work can be slow at times, but saying that you can teach always looks good on your resume even if you are not a teacher.

Westin and The W in Hoboken are probably good bets with new restaurants.

The Westin just did a bunch of hiring, but maybe they still need some more help?

I remember seeing a "now hiring" sign at Trader Joe's in Edgewater at one point.

I second the idea of stopping into places and asking if they're hiring. Some places are looking for that kind of initiative. And if they're not hiring, they might know of someone who is.

I saw a help wanted sign yesterday in the village (manhattan) yesterday. Either on 9th or 10th, somewhere between 6th ave and university. Sorry I can't remember exactly where but they wanted a salesperson for a clothing store. If I pass by it again I will post it.

Zeppelin Hall? They must be looking for a lot of people right now. Just pop into the downtown/waterfront larger restaurants/bars and ask ... places don't always post 'help wanted' signs ...

I took a walk around downtown today hoping to find some help wanted signs, and I had no luck.

I had a great job in Old Bridge but I moved back here full time again last week, and seeing as how Janam is not going to poof back into existence, I'm forced to lurk craigslist.com and submit applications at the mall.

Any love for a college student with lots of food service/retail/customer service experience?
